At Aviko and Aviko Rixona, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Today, we proudly present our joint sustainability report for 2024, where we share our milestones and look ahead to our goals for 2030. In 2024, Aviko Rixona made significant strides towards a future-proof and sustainable supply chain. 

SBTi commitment and sustainable potato farming 

Together with our parent company Cosun, we have committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to further advance our climate agenda. We are also very proud that more than 100 potato growers from various countries are participating in our Future Proof Farming Program. This program focuses on protecting and improving soil health, biodiversity, climate, and water, while also enhancing the economic viability and resilience of agricultural activities. 

100% green electricity 

Since 2024, our E-boiler in Venray has been operational, allowing us to produce at least 25% of our total steam with renewable energy at this location.

Ingredient for meat analogues and further development of Potato Cheezz 

In the field of plant-based innovations, we have developed TexaPure, a new ingredient that enhances the taste and texture of meat analogues. TexaPure was recently awarded a Superior Taste Award by the International Taste Institute. Additionally, we have further developed Potato Cheezz, our plant-based cheese alternative made from potatoes, which has won international awards. Potato Cheezz is used in snacks, bakery products, and pasta.
